HYBRID BRAKE REDUCES PART
The Accell Hybrid 60-ton press brake
from Accurpress uses a combination
of electric and hydraulic drive systems
for high-precision, high-speed
forming of small parts. Because it has
no need for a main hydraulic pump, it
is also a very quiet machine.
A 16-in. throat depth allows the
flexibility to form larger parts, and
the machine’s hydraulics allow for
part forming off the ends of the
machine, removing centre-only
forming restrictions. A dual screen
on the machine is an option for file
management and displaying PDF part drawings.
The 60-ton model can be used in tandem with multiple
machines. The machines can be installed on linear rails for
easy tandem setup or separation. An exclusive option on this
machine is the Ally backgauge. Clamping fingers hold the part
for positioning and gauging, reducing operator involvement in

MAGNETIC DRILL OFFERS ULTRALOW
Hougen Mfg. offers the Hougen® HMD130 portable magnetic
drill. It features an ultralow profile and the power to cut holes
up to 13⁄ 8 in. dia. through materials up to 1 in. thick.
Employing the company’s bayonet-style, twist-and-lock
cutter mounting system and a height of just 611⁄ 16 in., the drill
is designed for holemaking in confined spaces. In addition,
the motor, high-torque gearing, and RotaLoc Plus™ annular
cutters make the drill suitable for general fabrication, truck
frame modification, plant maintenance, and on-site assembly
and installation projects.
The unit weighs 23. 8 lbs. and has an electric rating of 115 V,
50/60 Hz, and 9 amps.
